Phrozen Wash Mega S
The Phrozen Wash Mega S is a large format resin wash station with a 25-litre capacity, designed for production workflows, large format printers, and batch cleaning applications where standard compact wash stations are too small to accommodate the build volume. It is the wash station counterpart to the Mega Cure S in the Phrozen large format post-processing range.
The 25-litre tank accommodates build plates up to 15 inches (Mega 8K series) as well as 13.6-inch, 13.3-inch, and 12.8-inch format plates, which covers the full range of current large format Phrozen printer build platforms. A dual-speed double vortex system operates at 300 rpm on high and 275 rpm on low, with an automatic direction reversal every minute that alternates the vortex rotation to achieve even resin removal from all surfaces of the model. A built-in side drain valve allows safe and controlled disposal of used cleaning solution without tilting or pouring from the full 25-litre tank. The adjustable timer and speed settings allow the wash cycle to be tuned for different resin types and model geometries.

Frequently asked questions
Which Phrozen printers is the Wash Mega S compatible with?
The Wash Mega S accommodates build plates up to 15 inches, covering the full Phrozen Mega 8K series and all other Phrozen large format printers with 13.6-inch, 13.3-inch, and 12.8-inch build platforms. It is paired with the Mega Cure S for a complete large format post-processing workflow.
Why does the vortex reverse direction every minute?
A single-direction vortex creates stagnant zones in deep recesses, internal cavities, and under overhanging surfaces. Automatic direction reversal alternates the vortex rotation every minute, continuously agitating the cleaning solution from multiple directions. This achieves more even resin removal from complex geometry including internal channels, dental model detail, and lattice structures.
What cleaning solutions are compatible with the Wash Mega S?
The Wash Mega S is compatible with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and purpose-made resin cleaning solutions including Monocure3D Resinaway. Resinaway has a longer working life than IPA before replacement and lower flammability. We stock Monocure3D Resinaway at 3D Cast.
Why does the Wash Mega S have a drain valve?
At 25 litres of IPA or Resinaway, manually tilting and pouring from the tank presents a significant spill risk. The built-in side drain valve allows safe, controlled disposal of used cleaning solution without lifting or tilting the tank.
How do I know when to replace my cleaning solution?
Cleaning solution becomes saturated with dissolved uncured resin over time and loses effectiveness. Signs of exhaustion include a dark or heavily discoloured solution, a tacky or cloudy finish on washed parts, and a strong resin smell that persists after washing. Expose used solution to sunlight to cure suspended resin before disposal.
Can the Wash Mega S be used with engineering or dental resins?
Yes. The dual-speed vortex and adjustable timer allow the wash parameters to be tuned for different resin types. Engineering-grade and dental resins often require longer wash times and may benefit from the high-speed vortex setting.
What is the difference between the Wash Mega S and a standard compact wash station?
Standard compact wash stations typically hold 3 to 8 litres and cannot physically accommodate build plates from 15-inch large format printers. The Wash Mega S holds 25 litres, supports build plates up to 15 inches, and uses a dual-speed double vortex with auto-direction reversal.
Is the Wash Mega S stocked in Australia?
Yes. The Phrozen Wash Mega S is stocked in Australia by 3D Cast, the official Australian Phrozen distributor. Ships from our Bairnsdale, Victoria warehouse via courier due to its size and weight.
