Phrozen TR300 Ultra-High Temp 3D Printer Resin: Extreme Temperature Engineering Resin
Phrozen TR300 Ultra-High Temp is an extreme temperature engineering MSLA resin with a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 160°C and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 220°C, formulated for industrial tooling, high temperature fixtures, and functional components where thermal demands exceed what standard or moderate heat resistant resins can provide.
The HDT of 160°C means TR300 maintains its geometry and load bearing properties at temperatures where standard engineering resins approach their failure point. The Tg of 220°C describes the temperature at which the polymer transitions from rigid to rubbery behaviour, and at 220°C TR300 is operating in conditions that would cause most photopolymer resins to deform entirely. This positions TR300 at the ceiling of currently available desktop resin thermal performance for production use.
The primary applications are high temperature thermoforming moulds where forming temperatures exceed 120°C, autoclave-compatible jigs, electronics enclosures that must pass thermal cycling tests, and functional parts in proximity to heat sources in automotive or industrial environments. The resin's mechanical profile supports these applications: tensile strength of 32 MPa, tensile modulus of 1,850 MPa, and Shore D hardness of 80 provide the combination of rigidity and resistance that industrial tooling requires.
TR300 is formulated for low viscosity to support fine detail reproduction at the layer level. Recommended layer height is 30 to 100 µm. The neutral gray finish allows surface inspection and measurement without the reflectivity issues that affect black resins under directional lighting.
Tensile strength: 32 MPa. Tensile modulus: 1,850 MPa. HDT: 160°C. Tg: 220°C. Shore D: 80.

Phrozen TR300 3D Printer Resin – Frequently Asked Questions
What is Phrozen TR300 3D Printer Resin designed for?
What is Phrozen TR300 3D Printer Resin designed for?
Phrozen TR300 is a high-strength, heat-resistant resin designed for printing durable, functional parts that need to withstand mechanical stress, elevated temperatures, and repeated handling. It is suitable for both engineering and dental model applications where toughness and thermal stability are important.
Who is Phrozen TR300 best suited for?
Who is Phrozen TR300 best suited for?
TR300 is well suited for engineers, product designers, workshops, R&D teams, dental clinics, and dental laboratories that require strong, stable models or functional parts that maintain shape under heat or load.
What types of parts is TR300 commonly used for?
What types of parts is TR300 commonly used for?
TR300 is commonly used for functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures, housings, clips, brackets, thermoforming models, dental models, and components exposed to moderate heat during use or post-processing.
Is Phrozen TR300 heat resistant?
Is Phrozen TR300 heat resistant?
Yes. Phrozen TR300 is formulated to offer improved heat resistance compared to standard and ABS-like resins. This makes it suitable for applications where parts may be exposed to elevated temperatures, including thermoforming workflows.
Can Phrozen TR300 be used for dental applications?
Can Phrozen TR300 be used for dental applications?
Yes. TR300 can be used for dental models and indirect dental applications, including models used for thermoforming, splints, trays, and similar workflows where heat resistance and dimensional stability are required.
Is Phrozen TR300 safe for intraoral use?
Is Phrozen TR300 safe for intraoral use?
No. Phrozen TR300 is not designed for intraoral use and should not be placed directly in the mouth. It is intended for indirect dental workflows only, such as model printing.
How does TR300 compare to standard or ABS-like resins?
How does TR300 compare to standard or ABS-like resins?
Compared to standard resins, TR300 offers significantly higher toughness and resistance to cracking. Compared to ABS-like resins, it provides improved durability and heat resistance while maintaining good dimensional accuracy.
Is Phrozen TR300 flexible or rubber-like?
Is Phrozen TR300 flexible or rubber-like?
No. TR300 is a rigid, tough resin. It is designed to absorb stress without brittle failure, but it is not flexible or elastic.
Is Phrozen TR300 suitable for beginners?
Is Phrozen TR300 suitable for beginners?
Yes. While TR300 is a performance resin, beginners can successfully use it by following recommended exposure settings and post-processing steps. Proper calibration ensures reliable results.
Which resin 3D printers are compatible with TR300?
Which resin 3D printers are compatible with TR300?
Phrozen TR300 is compatible with most LCD/MSLA resin 3D printers that use a 405 nm light source. Exposure settings should be calibrated based on printer model and environment.
Does TR300 require special post-processing?
Does TR300 require special post-processing?
Standard resin post-processing applies. Proper washing and full UV curing are essential to achieve the intended strength, heat resistance, and durability.
Can TR300 be used for production or repeated-use parts?
Can TR300 be used for production or repeated-use parts?
Yes. TR300 is suitable for small-batch production and repeated-use parts where strength, thermal stability, and consistency are required.
How should Phrozen TR300 be stored?
How should Phrozen TR300 be stored?
Store the resin sealed, away from UV light, and at a stable room temperature. Avoid contamination with IPA, water, or cured resin debris.
