Phrozen Resin 3D Printers for Australian Makers, Studios and Production
3D Cast is Australia's official Phrozen distributor, stocking the full range of Phrozen resin 3D printers from compact desktop models through to large-format production machines. Every printer ships from Australian stock with full Phrozen warranty and direct local support.
The Phrozen range covers six consumer resin printers spanning compact high-resolution models to large-format 24/7 production workhorses. Whether you print miniatures, jewellery masters, engineering prototypes, props, or production components, there is a Phrozen printer sized and specced for your workflow.
All Phrozen printers use MSLA LCD technology with monochrome screens, ParaLED Matrix light sources, dual linear rail Z-axes, and compatibility with the full Phrozen resin range as well as third-party 405nm photopolymers.

What is Resin 3D Printing?
Resin 3D printing uses a UV light source to cure liquid photopolymer resin layer by layer, producing parts with fine surface detail and accurate geometry that FDM printers cannot match. MSLA printers like the Phrozen range use a monochrome LCD screen as a masking layer, exposing an entire layer simultaneously rather than drawing with a laser or projector. This makes modern resin printers fast and consistent.
The key advantage of resin over FDM is surface quality. Parts come off the build plate with smooth surfaces, sharp edges, and detail resolution measured in microns rather than millimetres. For miniatures, jewellery, dental models, and detailed prototypes, resin is the appropriate technology.
Choosing the Right Phrozen Printer
The right printer depends on what you print, at what scale, and how much space you have. The Sonic Mini 8KS is the compact option: a small footprint that fits any workspace, with solid 8K resolution for hobbyists and users who need a capable printer without dedicating significant bench space. For the finest XY resolution in the range, the Revo 16K is the choice: 14 x 19 micron pixel size for jewellery masters, fine miniatures, and any application where surface detail is the priority.
For mid-format batch production, the Sonic Mighty 12K offers a larger build plate at the same resolution as the Mini 8KS. For large format work, the Mega 8K S and Mega 8K V2 provide the largest build volumes in the Phrozen range, with the V2 adding a 400 mm Z-axis and integrated Pump and Fill for unattended production runs.
If you are unsure which printer suits your workflow, contact 3D Cast. We stock and use this equipment daily and can advise based on your specific print types, volumes, and workspace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Phrozen printer is right for me?
It depends on what you print and at what scale. For miniatures, jewellery, and fine detail work in a compact footprint, the Sonic Mini 8KS or Revo series are the right choice. For mid-format batch printing, the Mighty 12K gives you the same resolution at a larger scale. For large format work, the Mega 8K S and Mega 8K V2 are built for production. Contact us and we will recommend based on your specific needs.
What resins work with Phrozen printers?
All Phrozen printers are compatible with Phrozen resins (Aqua series, Aqua Hyperfine, Speed Plus, and others) as well as any third-party 405nm photopolymer. 3D Cast stocks Phrozen, Monocure3D, and Resione resins, all confirmed compatible with the Phrozen range.
How does resin printing compare to FDM?
Resin printers produce finer surface detail, smoother surfaces, and more accurate geometry than FDM at small to mid scale. The trade-off is that resin printing requires post-processing (washing and curing), resin handling safety precautions, and consumable parts (vat film, build plate) that wear over time. For miniatures, jewellery, dental models, and detailed prototypes, resin is the appropriate technology. For large structural parts and functional mechanical components, FDM is usually more practical.
Do I need a wash and cure station?
Yes. Resin prints must be washed in isopropyl alcohol or a dedicated wash solution to remove uncured resin, then cured under UV light to harden fully. A wash and cure station makes this process faster, cleaner, and more consistent. 3D Cast stocks Phrozen wash and cure stations sized for each printer in the range.
Are these printers shipped from Australia?
Yes. All Phrozen printers stocked by 3D Cast ship from our Australian warehouse in Bairnsdale, Victoria. No overseas shipping wait times, no customs delays, and full Australian warranty coverage applies.
What warranty do Phrozen printers come with?
Phrozen printers come with a manufacturer warranty covering hardware defects. Consumable parts including the LCD screen and vat film are not covered under warranty as they are expected to wear with use. 3D Cast provides direct local support throughout the warranty period and stocks all replacement parts and consumables.
Why buy from 3D Cast?

Every purchase comes with full manufacturer warranty and direct access to our team for setup guidance, resin recommendations, and troubleshooting throughout the life of the printer.
