The Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K V2 is a large format professional resin 3D printer engineered for high volume production, large scale prototyping, prop making, and professional workshops where reliability and consistent output are non-negotiable. The 15 inch 8K monochrome LCD delivers a 43 µm XY resolution across a 330 × 185 × 400 mm build volume, capturing fine detail at a scale that allows large individual components or high volume batch runs in a single print session.
The build volume is meaningful at this specification. A 400 mm build height is substantial for resin printing, enabling tall structural components, full height character models, and large scale props that most resin printers cannot produce in one run. Batch printing multiple smaller parts across the full 15 inch plate reduces the number of sessions required for high volume output.
The Mega 8K V2 ships with the Phrozen Pump and Fill system integrated. This monitors the resin vat level continuously during printing and automatically refills from the bottle when resin drops below the required level, preventing mid-print failures during long unattended production runs. Post-session, the system retracts unused resin cleanly back into the bottle.
Two plug-in USB air purifiers with activated carbon filters are included. These reduce resin odour in the printing environment, which is important for workshops, shared spaces, and any environment where ventilation is a practical concern during extended print sessions.
The factory calibrated build plate with dual linear rails and ball screw Z-axis provides the mechanical stability required for accurate layer registration across the full build height. The all metal exterior contributes to long term structural durability for continuous operational use.
The Mega 8K V2 weighs approximately 43 kg. This is a significant machine requiring appropriate workspace planning before purchase.

I’ve tested plenty of resins in the past, but Resione Tough74 v2 is on a completely different level. The material properties are incredible - it’s the perfect balance of rigidity and toughness. I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up. But, rather than just send it, they contacted me and asked if this was right and I was able to correct it.
