The build volume is 330 x 185 x 300 mm. The 330 x 185 mm plate accommodates a full adult helmet in a single print, up to 80 miniatures at 32mm scale per batch, and large architectural or prop components that would require splitting on smaller machines.

The Sonic Mega 8K S has an XY resolution of 43 microns per pixel across a 15 inch 8K monochrome LCD. The ParaLED Matrix light source ensures even UV distribution across the entire 15 inch surface, maintaining detail and surface accuracy edge to edge.

Yes. The Pump and Fill is an automated resin management system that connects to the Mega 8K S. It monitors the resin level in the vat during printing and automatically refills from the resin bottle when levels drop, preventing print failures on long unattended runs. At the end of a session, it retracts unused resin back into the bottle. The Pump and Fill is available as part of the Super Bundle, Bundle D, and Everything Awesome Bundle configurations, or separately.

The built-in metal drip hanger tilts the build plate at an angle as it rises after printing. This allows excess resin to drain back into the vat rather than dripping onto the machine body or floor. It reduces resin waste, keeps the workspace cleaner, and simplifies cleanup across high volume print sessions.

The 15 inch perforated build plate can accommodate up to 80 miniatures at 32mm scale in a single batch run depending on miniature size, support density, and orientation. For larger 75mm display figures, the number is lower but still significantly higher than any mid-sized printer.

Yes. Phrozen produces the Mega S Wash Station and Mega S Cure Station specifically sized for the Mega 8K S build plate. Standard compact wash and cure units do not provide adequate capacity for prints at this scale. Both stations are available separately or as part of Bundle C, Bundle D, and the Everything Awesome Bundle. 3D Cast stocks the full range.

The Mega 8K S is compatible with Phrozen's full resin range and any third-party 405 nm photopolymer resin. Phrozen Aqua 8K is recommended for standard production work. Phrozen Speed Plus is compatible for higher throughput. 3D Cast stocks Phrozen and Monocure3D resins, all tested with the Mega platform.
