Phrozen PFA (nFEP) Film 450 x 290 mm is a premium single-sheet replacement vat film at 150 µm thickness, manufactured from perfluoroalkoxy (PFA). This sheet size is the OEM specification for the Phrozen Sonic Mega 8K and Sonic Mega 8K S, and is also compatible with any other brand of resin printer whose vat accepts a 450 x 290 mm sheet.
At this scale, the case for PFA over standard FEP is strongest. The 15-inch build platform produces the largest layer contact areas of any Phrozen consumer printer, which means suction forces during lift cycles are at their highest. Standard FEP film at this scale generates significant peel resistance on wide, flat model cross sections, which is a primary cause of layer delamination and print failures on large format prints. PFA's lower suction surface substantially reduces that force, recovering print reliability on the geometries that large format printing is specifically used for.
UV transmittance of up to 95% supports consistent curing accuracy across the full 450 mm width of the build area, which is relevant because UV intensity variation across a large panel can affect curing uniformity.

I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up. But, rather than just send it, they contacted me and asked if this was right and I was able to correct it.
