The Phrozen Aluminium Resin Vat is the genuine OEM replacement vat for the Sonic Mighty 8K, Sonic Mighty 12K, Sonic Mighty Revo 14K, and Sonic Mighty Revo 16K. It arrives with FEP film pre-installed, making it ready to fit and print without additional setup. A single vat services all four of these 10.1-inch format printers, which means one spare covers users who run multiple Mighty series machines.
The vat body is CNC machined from solid aluminium and finished with anodisation for chemical resistance and durability. Aluminium construction is critical for vat rigidity — the vat must hold the FEP film under consistent tension across the full 10.1-inch span, and any flex in the vat body under the weight of resin or the mechanical stress of repeated lift cycles introduces tension variation that translates directly to inconsistent FEP performance and print failures. The anodised finish resists the chemical degradation from prolonged resin contact that affects uncoated aluminium and reduces the rate of resin staining on the vat surfaces.
The vat includes a pouring spout for clean resin loading and draining. Resin changeover is one of the most common sources of spills on large format printers, and a dedicated spout reduces that risk on a vat that holds a significant volume of resin at the Mighty series build scale. FEP replacement on the vat follows the standard Phrozen procedure and the vat is compatible with all Phrozen FEP and PFA (nFEP) film sizes for the Mighty format.
