The Phrozen Building Plate for the Sonic Mini 8K and Sonic Mini 8KS is the genuine OEM replacement build plate for these 7.1-inch compact resin printers, machined from solid aluminium. It is a direct fit replacement for the original plate, compatible with the existing carriage mount and calibration system on both printer models.
The build plate's flatness and dimensional stability determine first layer adhesion consistency across every print. Aluminium plate construction resists the warping that accumulates from repeated thermal cycling and mechanical stress over extended use, which maintains calibration accuracy across a larger number of print cycles before recalibration is needed. The Mini 8K and Mini 8KS operate at 22 ยตm native XY resolution โ at this resolution, build plate flatness matters more than on lower resolution printers because any deviation across the plate surface introduces curing inconsistency that is visible in fine detail prints.
The plate uses a 4-point calibration system compatible with Phrozen's one-click software calibration. A second calibrated plate can be swapped into the printer immediately when the primary plate needs cleaning or post-print processing, which eliminates the wait time between runs that is otherwise unavoidable when washing and drying a single plate. For miniature painters and figure sculptors who print regularly on the Mini 8K or Mini 8KS, a second plate is the most straightforward way to increase throughput without any additional hardware.

I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up. But, rather than just send it, they contacted me and asked if this was right and I was able to correct it.
Great customer service, if they had not done this, I would of had resin I would not use.
