Phrozen Tough PLA is designed for functional parts that need to survive handling and load without breaking. Common applications include snap-fit enclosures, brackets, clips, tooling jigs, props, and any geometry with thin walls or fine features where standard PLA would snap under stress.

Standard PLA is brittle and tends to snap at thin walls, sharp features, and load-bearing sections. Tough PLA uses a modified formulation that maintains structural integrity across the same geometry. It prints at slightly higher nozzle temperatures (200 to 230 degrees Celsius versus 190 to 220 for standard PLA) and delivers improved impact resistance without requiring engineering filaments or an enclosure.
