Phrozen Dental Study Model Resin: Diagnostic Model Resin for Dental Clinics and Laboratories
The Phrozen Dental Study Model Resin is a diagnostic and treatment planning resin for Australian dental clinics and laboratories producing full-arch study models, case presentation models, and pre-treatment records. It prints full-arch models in under 25 minutes print time with a Shore D hardness of 90, delivering models that are rigid enough to withstand handling, storage, and repeated use without surface damage.
The resin produces a white matte finish across the printed surface. The matte finish is relevant in a clinical context because it reduces surface glare during examination, making it easier to assess occlusal contacts, marginal ridges, and arch form under operatory lighting. Study models used for patient consultations benefit from the same property — a white matte surface reads clearly in photographs and on screen when discussing treatment plans.
Dimensional accuracy is consistent across the full build plate, which matters when multiple models are printed per run and each needs to match the original scan data. The resin is compatible with the Phrozen Dental printer range including the CS+, LS+, and XL 4K Plus, and is supported by validated print profiles in Phrozen DS Slicer. Post-processing follows the standard Phrozen dental workflow: IPA wash followed by UV post-cure.
The Study Model Resin is suited to diagnostic models, study casts, pre-treatment records, case presentation models, and any indication where a durable, dimensionally accurate non-biocompatible model is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Phrozen Dental Study Model Resin is designed for producing diagnostic and study models used in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and orthodontics planning. It delivers fast, affordable full-arch models with a white matte finish that's ideal for patient consultations and treatment documentation.
It prints at 1.5 seconds per layer, completing a full-arch model in under 25 minutes. This makes it one of the fastest dental resins available and ideal for high-volume diagnostic workflows.
The resin produces a white matte finish with low surface reflectivity. This makes it easy to examine fine anatomical details and is well suited to patient-facing presentations and treatment planning discussions.
The resin supports a minimum XY tolerance of 0.06mm and a minimum wall thickness of 3mm. It delivers consistent, repeatable results suitable for study models, diagnostic models, and occlusal treatment progress tracking.
After removing prints from the build plate, wash them in 95% IPA using an ultrasonic cleaner for 120 seconds. Dry thoroughly in a dark place for up to 30 minutes, or use an air gun to dry immediately.
Yes. Post-cure for 1 minute using a Phrozen Cure+ or compatible UV lamp to achieve optimal mechanical properties. If the model develops a yellow tint after curing, bake at 80°C for 20 minutes to remove it.
The resin is compatible with any MSLA resin 3D printer. For best results, use with Phrozen Sonic series printers (CS+, LS+, XL 4K Plus) with validated Phrozen DS Slicer dental print profiles.
Store at room temperature in a dark, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. After opening, keep used resin in a closed opaque bottle and do not mix with new resin. Shelf life is 12 months unopened.
