Phrozen DS Slicer — Dental 3D Printing Software

Phrozen DS Slicer, short for Dental Synergy Slicer, is Phrozen's proprietary slicing software developed exclusively for the dental industry. Unlike general-purpose slicers adapted for dental use, DS Slicer was built from the ground up for dental workflows, with automatic orientation and support placement per dental indication, validated print profiles for dental resins, and file editing tools covering the full scan-to-print process. It is the official slicing software for all current Phrozen Dental Series printers including the Sonic CS+, Sonic LS+, and Dental XL 4K Plus.

DS Slicer is free to download from the Phrozen Dental website. What activates it is the USB licence dongle, a physical security key that must be present to authenticate and run the software. A dongle is included with every new Phrozen Dental printer purchased from 3D Cast. The dongle uses a 14-day grace period, meaning it does not need to remain inserted continuously and can be unplugged for up to 14 days before reinsertion is required. Replacement dongles are available from 3D Cast for clinics that need a spare or have misplaced the original. Phrozen will not replace a lost dongle under any circumstances.

DS Slicer integrates directly with 3Shape Produce, allowing files to move from 3Shape design software into DS Slicer without manual export steps. This makes it a strong fit for practices and laboratories already running 3Shape as part of their digital workflow. DS Slicer also includes a validated print profile library covering a broad range of third party dental resin brands alongside the full Phrozen dental resin range, giving practices flexibility in material selection as their workflow evolves.
