Phrozen ARCO FDM 3D Printer Bundle

The bundle includes three components: the Phrozen ARCO CoreXY FDM 3D printer, the Chroma Kit multi-filament system, and the PentaShield Enclosure. Together they form a complete large-format FDM printing setup capable of multi-colour and multi-material output in a controlled environment.

The PentaShield Enclosure raises the internal print temperature by up to 10°C, which is essential for printing ABS, ASA, and PC without warping. The Chroma Kit adds automated multi-filament printing across 4 channels expandable to 16, removing the need for manual filament swapping. The ARCO supports PLA, Tough PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, and carbon-fibre and glass-fibre composite filaments. The all-metal hotend reaches 300°C and the heated PEI bed reaches 120°C, providing the temperature range required for engineering-grade materials. The PentaShield Enclosure stabilises the print environment for materials that warp in open-air conditions.

The PentaShield encloses the ARCO with five removable tempered glass panels and raises the internal chamber temperature by up to 10°C. ABS, ASA, PC, and similar materials warp when ambient air temperature fluctuates during a long print. The enclosed environment prevents this. The built-in carbon-filter fan activates automatically at 35°C to manage fumes, making the setup suitable for offices, classrooms, and shared workspaces. Noise is reduced by approximately 15%.

The Chroma Kit connects to the ARCO and enables automated printing across 4 filament channels, expandable to 16 with additional units. Each channel has a built-in drying chamber up to 70°C and its own jam and runout sensors. Filament switching happens automatically based on slicer instructions through PIXUP Slicer, with no manual swapping required. This allows multi-colour models and mixed-material parts to be produced in a single unattended print job.

FDM printers like the ARCO produce parts that are stronger, more durable, and better suited to functional and mechanical applications. The ARCO can print at a much larger scale than most resin printers, up to 300 x 300 x 300 mm, and supports a wider range of materials including flexible and engineering-grade filaments. Resin printers produce finer surface detail and higher dimensional accuracy at small scales. Many users run both technologies for different applications.

Yes. The 300 x 300 x 300 mm build volume allows large individual parts or multiple smaller parts in a single job. Klipper firmware with input shaping and pressure advance helps maintain quality across repeated runs. Features like power loss resume and filament runout detection reduce failed jobs during long unattended prints.

The ARCO is compatible with PIXUP Slicer, which is Phrozen’s own FDM slicing software and the recommended slicer for Chroma Kit multi-filament workflows. It is also compatible with OrcaSlicer and other Klipper-compatible slicers. Phrozen provides printer profiles to help you get reliable results quickly.

Routine maintenance includes cleaning or replacing the nozzle, checking belt tension, levelling the build plate, and ensuring smooth movement on all axes. The Chroma Kit channels should be checked periodically for filament residue and the drying chambers monitored for performance. Regular maintenance ensures consistent output across long production runs.
