Description

Phrozen ARCO FDM 3D Printer — Complete Bundle

The Phrozen ARCO Complete Bundle is designed for product designers, small manufacturers, engineering teams, and educators who need a large-format FDM printer capable of multi-colour or multi-material output in a controlled printing environment. The bundle combines the Phrozen ARCO CoreXY FDM printer, the Chroma Kit multi-filament system, and the PentaShield Enclosure. Each component works independently, but together they remove the three most common barriers to professional FDM output: print volume, material limitation, and environmental instability.

Phrozen ARCO FDM 3D Printer

The ARCO is a CoreXY FDM printer with a 300 × 300 × 300 mm build volume and 600 mm/s top speed. The CoreXY motion system moves the print head in X and Y while the build plate moves only in Z, which keeps the accelerating mass constant and allows the ARCO to maintain dimensional accuracy across the full build area at high speeds. Klipper firmware with input shaping and pressure advance allows precise tuning for different materials and speeds. The HGX direct-drive extruder with dual 18 mm gears and 9.5 Nm of torque handles PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, and carbon-fibre composites without slipping at high print speeds. The all-metal hotend reaches 300°C and the heated PEI bed reaches 120°C, covering the full temperature range required for engineering-grade filaments. The ARCO monitors for filament runout, print failure, and clog events, and resumes automatically after a power loss.

Chroma Kit — Multi-Material and Multi-Colour Printing System

The Chroma Kit connects to the ARCO and enables automated printing across 4 filament channels, expandable to 16 with additional units. Each channel has a built-in drying chamber that maintains filament temperature up to 70°C, which is important for moisture-sensitive materials like nylon and TPU that lose print quality when run damp. Filament switching happens automatically based on slicer instructions, with jam and runout sensors on each channel preventing failed prints mid-job. Colour and material transitions are managed through PIXUP Slicer with no manual filament swapping required, and the entire system is controlled from the ARCO touchscreen.

PentaShield Enclosure

The PentaShield encloses the ARCO with five removable tempered glass panels and raises the internal chamber temperature by up to 10°C. ABS, ASA, PC, and similar materials warp when ambient air temperature fluctuates during a long print, and the enclosed environment prevents this. The built-in carbon-filter fan activates automatically at 35°C to manage fumes, making the setup suitable for offices, classrooms, and shared workspaces. Noise is reduced by approximately 15%, and all five panels are removable for filament changes and print removal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Phrozen ARCO FDM 3D Printer Bundle

What is included in the Phrozen ARCO FDM 3D Printer Bundle?

The bundle includes three components: the Phrozen ARCO CoreXY FDM 3D printer, the Chroma Kit multi-filament system, and the PentaShield Enclosure. Together they form a complete large-format FDM printing setup capable of multi-colour and multi-material output in a controlled environment.

What is the advantage of buying the ARCO Bundle instead of the standalone printer?

The bundle delivers a production-capable setup from day one. The PentaShield Enclosure raises the internal print temperature by up to 10°C, which is essential for printing ABS, ASA, and PC without warping. The Chroma Kit adds automated multi-filament printing across 4 channels expandable to 16, removing the need for manual filament swapping. Purchasing the bundle is more cost-effective than buying each component separately.

Who is the Phrozen ARCO Bundle best suited for?

The ARCO Bundle is best suited for product designers, small manufacturers, engineering teams, and educators who need a large-format FDM printer capable of multi-colour or multi-material output running engineering-grade filaments in a controlled environment. It suits users who want a complete, production-capable setup without upgrading in stages.

What filament materials can the Phrozen ARCO print?

The ARCO supports PLA, Tough PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, and carbon-fibre and glass-fibre composite filaments. The all-metal hotend reaches 300°C and the heated PEI bed reaches 120°C, providing the temperature range required for engineering-grade materials. The PentaShield Enclosure stabilises the print environment for materials that warp in open-air conditions.

Why is the PentaShield Enclosure important for FDM 3D printing?

The PentaShield encloses the ARCO with five removable tempered glass panels and raises the internal chamber temperature by up to 10°C. ABS, ASA, PC, and similar materials warp when ambient air temperature fluctuates during a long print. The enclosed environment prevents this. The built-in carbon-filter fan activates automatically at 35°C to manage fumes, making the setup suitable for offices, classrooms, and shared workspaces. Noise is reduced by approximately 15%.

What does the Chroma Kit add to the ARCO system?

The Chroma Kit connects to the ARCO and enables automated printing across 4 filament channels, expandable to 16 with additional units. Each channel has a built-in drying chamber up to 70°C and its own jam and runout sensors. Filament switching happens automatically based on slicer instructions through PIXUP Slicer, with no manual swapping required. This allows multi-colour models and mixed-material parts to be produced in a single unattended print job.

How does the ARCO Bundle compare to resin 3D printers?

FDM printers like the ARCO produce parts that are stronger, more durable, and better suited to functional and mechanical applications. The ARCO can print at a much larger scale than most resin printers, up to 300 x 300 x 300 mm, and supports a wider range of materials including flexible and engineering-grade filaments. Resin printers produce finer surface detail and higher dimensional accuracy at small scales. Many users run both technologies for different applications.

Can the Phrozen ARCO be used for production or batch printing?

Yes. The 300 x 300 x 300 mm build volume allows large individual parts or multiple smaller parts in a single job. Klipper firmware with input shaping and pressure advance helps maintain quality across repeated runs. Features like power loss resume and filament runout detection reduce failed jobs during long unattended prints.

What slicer software does the Phrozen ARCO use?

The ARCO is compatible with PIXUP Slicer, which is Phrozen’s own FDM slicing software and the recommended slicer for Chroma Kit multi-filament workflows. It is also compatible with OrcaSlicer and other Klipper-compatible slicers. Phrozen provides printer profiles to help you get reliable results quickly.

What maintenance does the ARCO require?

Routine maintenance includes cleaning or replacing the nozzle, checking belt tension, levelling the build plate, and ensuring smooth movement on all axes. The Chroma Kit channels should be checked periodically for filament residue and the drying chambers monitored for performance. Regular maintenance ensures consistent output across long production runs.
