Phrozen Chroma Kit: Automatic Multicolour Filament System for the ARCO FDM Printer
The Phrozen Chroma Kit is an automatic multicolour filament management system for Phrozen ARCO FDM 3D printer users who need colour variation across a single print without manual intervention. It enables up to 4-colour automatic filament switching during a print, expandable to 16 colours through additional kit modules, and requires PIXUP Slicer software to operate.
The core limitation of single-extruder FDM printing is one colour per print. The Chroma Kit removes the need for manual filament swaps at specific layer heights by managing all switching automatically from start to completion. Up to four filament channels are loaded simultaneously, and the system switches between them at the layer transitions specified in the PIXUP Slicer colour assignment. The result is a completed multicolour print without operator presence during the print cycle.
Each of the four filament compartments is independently sealed and heated, with a dryer operating up to 70°C. Filament drying during printing is a production requirement for hygroscopic materials including nylon, TPU, and PETG, where moisture absorbed during a long session causes surface bubbling, stringing, and reduced mechanical properties. The integrated drying function removes the need for a separate filament dryer when running multicolour jobs with these materials. Per-channel jam detection and runout sensors halt the print and alert the user before a failed spool causes a lost build.
The system accepts 1.75mm FDM filament including PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, and compatible materials. Connectivity is via USB or Wi-Fi through the ARCO system. The kit measures approximately 410 x 250 x 330mm and weighs approximately 5.5kg. A 12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects.

I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up. But, rather than just send it, they contacted me and asked if this was right and I was able to correct it.
