The Phrozen LCD Screen Replacement for the Sonic Mini 8K is the genuine OEM 7.1-inch 8K monochrome LCD panel for this printer. This is the correct replacement for the original Sonic Mini 8K — it is not compatible with the Mini 8KS, which uses a different panel. Confirm your printer model before ordering.
Monochrome LCD technology is the reason MSLA resin printers achieve faster cure times and more consistent layer exposure than older RGB LCD printers. A monochrome panel passes significantly more UV light per pixel than an RGB equivalent, which means each layer cures faster and more evenly across the full build area. The 8K pixel density across a 7.1-inch panel produces a native XY resolution of approximately 22 µm, which is what gives the Mini 8K its fine detail capability. When the LCD degrades, that resolution and exposure consistency degrades with it.
LCD panels in MSLA printers degrade through UV-induced backlight decay, thermal stress from extended print sessions, and cumulative exposure cycling. The visible signs are reduced print detail, uneven curing across the build plate, layer banding, and an increase in failed prints. Replacing the LCD with a genuine Phrozen panel restores the printer to its original exposure profile and detail ceiling.
The genuine Phrozen replacement matches the original panel's connector type, dimensions, and optical characteristics. A non-genuine panel may not match the exposure settings the printer firmware is calibrated for, which can introduce curing inconsistencies that defeat the purpose of the replacement.

I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up. But, rather than just send it, they contacted me and asked if this was right and I was able to correct it.
