Resione TH-72 Medium Gray 3D Printer Resin
Resione TH-72 Medium Gray is a flexible, tough 3D printer resin formulated for makers who need prints that can survive drops, handling, and long distance shipping without cracking or shattering. Where standard resins are rigid and brittle, TH-72 is engineered for high elongation and impact resistance, making it a specialist choice rather than a general purpose everyday resin.
TH-72 is particularly well suited to printing fine, breakable details on figurines: hair, capes, swords, spears, and other thin protruding features that snap easily in standard resin. Prints with wall thickness under 3mm can be significantly bent or folded without breaking. It also holds up well on hollow prints, which often crack over time in standard resins because the interior can't be fully post-cured, and it can be blended into rigid or standard resins as a toughening agent at around 40% ratio to increase their impact resistance while retaining rigidity.
Long-term toughness is a genuine strength here: testing shows a month of summer sun and rain exposure plus high temperature drying does not reduce the resin's strength or flexibility, and water absorption after 48 hours is a low 0.6%, so prints resist softening or cracking from humidity and can tolerate brief underwater or outdoor use.
One trade-off to plan for: TH-72 is not rigid enough on its own to support typical print supports reliably. Models need extra supports at island points, thicker support columns, and larger support diameters compared to standard or rigid resin. Compatible with all MSLA and DLP printers at 405 nm. Available in 1 kg bottles.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. TH-72 is a specialist flexible, tough resin engineered for high elongation and impact resistance. It's a good choice specifically for parts that need to bend or survive impact, not for everyday rigid prototyping.
Fine, breakable details on figurines such as hair, capes, swords, and spears, hollow prints prone to cracking, and as a toughening additive blended into rigid or standard resins at around 40%.
Yes. TH-72 is not rigid enough on its own for typical print supports. Add extra supports at island points, use thicker support columns, and increase support diameter for heavier models.
Well. Testing shows a month of summer sun and rain exposure plus high temperature drying does not reduce the resin's toughness or flexibility, and it has low water absorption, so prints resist softening in humidity.
It's compatible with all MSLA and DLP printers at 405 nm. Recommended layer height is 30 to 100 microns.
Keep it sealed at room temperature in a dark, dry, ventilated space away from direct sunlight. Wear gloves and a mask when handling it, and wash any skin or eye contact with plenty of water.
Unopened bottles can be returned, though you'll cover the return shipping if it's a change of mind. Any defective bottle is covered by a free return and refund.
Yes. 3D Cast is Resione's official Australian distributor, so you're getting genuine TH-72 with local support, not a grey import.
