Resione Tough74 V2 Gray 3D Printer Resin: Tough Engineering Resin
Resione Tough74 V2 Gray is a second generation tough engineering MSLA resin with improved mechanical properties over V1, formulated for functional prototypes, mechanical components, and general purpose engineering parts. The 74 in the product name references its Shore D hardness target, placing it in the mid-hardness range that balances impact resistance with sufficient rigidity for structural parts.
Shore D 74 describes a material hard enough to hold dimensional geometry under load but not so rigid that it becomes brittle under impact, which is the property combination that makes ABS plastic the default choice for functional consumer product enclosures. Tough74 V2 reproduces that mechanical balance in a photopolymer resin that prints at the resolution and layer height accuracy of MSLA, which conventional ABS injection moulding cannot match.
The gray finish is practical for engineering workflows. Gray surfaces show surface detail, layer definition, and dimensional variation clearly under standard workshop lighting without the inspection challenges of black or the glare issues of white. Sanding, priming, and painting all proceed from gray without the colour neutralisation steps that strongly pigmented resins require.
Compatible with all MSLA and DLP resin printers. Recommended layer height is 30 to 100 µm.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a wear-resistant tough engineering resin with ABS-like mechanical behaviour, formulated for functional prototypes, mechanical components, action figures, and parts requiring wear resistance and improved rigidity over the original Tough74.
Resione has not published a fully consolidated lab-tested technical data sheet specific to the Tough74 V2 Gray variant that we can confirm independently, so we can't give exact tensile or elongation figures for this specific product. We've listed the manufacturer's stated hardness range and mechanical claims above, and will update this page with confirmed lab data as it becomes available.
V2 offers enhanced precision, rigidity, and toughness compared to the original Tough74 formulation, according to the manufacturer.
Yes. The resin's mechanical properties are similar to tough thermoplastic materials, allowing for drilling, tapping, or light machining without fracture or deformation.
It works with any MSLA or DLP resin printer. Recommended layer height is 30 to 100 microns, with support down to 0.03mm for fine detail.
Keep it sealed at room temperature in a dark, dry, ventilated space away from direct sunlight. Wear gloves and a mask when handling it, and wash any skin or eye contact with plenty of water.
Unopened bottles can be returned, though you'll cover the return shipping if it's a change of mind. Any defective bottle is covered by a free return and refund.
Yes. 3D Cast is Resione's official Australian distributor, so you're getting genuine Tough74 V2 Gray with local support, not a grey import.
