Phrozen Dental LS+: High-Volume Lab Resin 3D Printer for Dental Laboratories
The Phrozen Dental LS+ is a labside resin 3D printer built for Australian dental laboratories running high-volume batch production. It prints up to 20 full-arch models or 35 occlusal splints in a single build, with 8 full-arch models completed in under 40 minutes print time, making it the right platform for laboratories where output per run and consistency across the build plate define production viability.
The LS+ ships with two build plate configurations. The large plate at 198 x 125mm with a 500mL resin vat is the primary production configuration, designed to maximise units per run. The standard plate at 168 x 74mm with a 300mL vat handles shorter runs without requiring a separate machine or workflow reconfiguration. Both configurations use the same 9.1 inch 385nm mono-LCD delivering 34 µm XY resolution, with validated accuracy placing more than 95% of data points within 50 microns of the original CAD geometry. That consistency across the full build platform is what separates a production printer from a scaled-up desktop unit.
The dual heating system covers both the resin vat and the print chamber, maintaining a stable 30°C temperature throughout the build cycle. For high-viscosity dental resins and extended batch runs, temperature stability is the difference between a clean tray and a batch of failed prints. The dual system eliminates dimensional drift across the build platform, so the model at the outer edge of the large plate prints with the same accuracy as the one at the centre.
The LS+ uses an open resin system with validated profiles for Phrozen dental resins and broad compatibility with third-party dental materials through the Phrozen resin profile library. Phrozen DS Slicer manages slicing with AI-assisted support generation, automatic orientation for common dental indications, a scan-to-model function for digital impressions, and integration with 3Shape, exocad, and other leading dental CAD platforms. Connection is via Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet.
The LS+ is validated for full-arch dental models, orthodontic aligner models, occlusal splints, surgical guides, crown and bridge models, gingiva masks, All-on-X provisional restorations, and denture bases.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Phrozen Sonic LS+ is a labside dental 3D printer designed for dental laboratories that require high-volume, batch-production output. It is built to print full-arch models, surgical guides, occlusal splints, and other lab-scale indications efficiently and consistently, making it the ideal production tool for labs supplying multiple referring clinics.
The Sonic LS+ offers two build plate configurations. The Large Plate provides a build volume of 198 x 125 x 175 mm, allowing for high-density batch runs across a wide print area. The Standard Plate provides a 168 x 74 x 175 mm build volume for flexible single-arch or mixed-indication workflows. Both plates are included with the printer.
The Large Plate (198 x 125 x 175 mm) maximises the number of parts per print, making it ideal for high-volume lab production where you need to fit full-arch models or multiple units in a single run. The Standard Plate (168 x 74 x 175 mm) offers a narrower footprint suited to single-arch workflows or when you want to reduce resin consumption and cleaning time between runs.
The Sonic LS+ is validated for a wide range of labside indications including full-arch diagnostic and working models, gingiva masks, occlusal splints, surgical guides, aligner models, restorative crown and bridge models, and denture bases. The large build volume makes it particularly well suited for labs processing high case volumes across multiple referring clinics.
Yes. The Sonic LS+ uses an open-system approach, accepting validated third-party dental resins in addition to Phrozen's own dental materials. Resin profiles for compatible materials are available through the Phrozen DS Slicer and the Phrozen resin profile library. For the most consistent lab-quality results, Phrozen-validated resin settings are recommended.
The Sonic LS+ achieves validated accuracy with more than 95% of data points falling within 50 microns of the original CAD data. The 385 nm LCD with 34 µm resolution delivers precise output suitable for full-arch models, surgical guides, and other accuracy-critical dental lab applications.
Yes. The Sonic LS+ is designed for practical lab adoption without requiring specialist 3D printing knowledge. Validated resin settings eliminate calibration guesswork, and the Phrozen DS Slicer provides dental-specific presets and slicing workflows built in. 3D Cast's team also provides onboarding support to help your lab integrate the printer into your existing workflow.
After printing, parts require washing in IPA or a dedicated washing solution followed by UV curing. Phrozen recommends using the Wash+ automatic washing station and the Cure+ UV curing unit for a complete and validated post-processing workflow. Both are available from 3D Cast and are designed to work seamlessly with the LS+ and Phrozen dental resins, including for full-arch batch runs.
Yes. The Sonic LS+ includes a built-in chamber and VAT heating system. Heating the resin vat before printing ensures consistent viscosity and print quality across the full build area, which is especially important for large-plate batch runs. Phrozen also recommends using the Heat and Mix resin mixing station to prepare resin before loading for best results. The Phrozen Heat and Mix resin mixing station is available at 3D Cast.
Yes. The Phrozen Sonic LS+ is available in Australia through 3D Cast, the official Australian distributor for Phrozen Technology.
