Phrozen Speed Gray 3D Printer Resin: High Speed Large Format Resin
Phrozen Speed Gray is a photopolymer resin formulated to print up to 8 times faster than standard resins, designed for prop makers, cosplayers, terrain builders, and prototypers who need to produce large scale prints without the multi-day print times that standard resins require at large volumes. It is sold in Australia exclusively through 3D Cast, the official Australian distributor for Phrozen Technology.
The defining advantage of Speed Gray is its cure speed at short layer exposure times. Standard resins require longer exposure per layer to achieve full cure, which compounds significantly across the hundreds or thousands of layers in a large model. Speed Gray cures at substantially shorter exposure times, enabling large format models up to 24 cm to complete within six hours rather than the eight to twelve hours a standard resin would require. This makes same-day design iterations practical and makes batch production of large parts viable without overnight queuing.
Speed Gray is not a precision detail resin. Its formulation prioritises throughput and layer cure speed, making it best suited to scale props, full-size wearables, cosplay components, terrain pieces, architectural scale models, and industrial prototypes where overall form and structural integrity matter more than microscale surface detail. For detail-critical work on the same printer, Phrozen Aqua or Hyperfine resins are the appropriate alternative.
The gray tone is practical for large format work: it is easy to inspect for print defects, sanding lines, and surface imperfections before painting, and accepts primer and acrylic paint directly. The 20% elongation at break provides enough flexibility to resist the cracking and fracture that purely rigid resins produce when large printed parts are flexed during handling, assembly, or fitting for wearables.
Compatible with all 405 nm LCD and MSLA printers. Post-processing: dry for 40 to 60 minutes after wash, then cure all sides for 30 minutes per side for best results.
3D Cast is Australia's official Phrozen distributor, stocking Speed Gray with fast shipping Australia wide and direct technical support.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a large format resin formulated to print up to 8 times faster than standard resins, suited to prop makers, cosplayers, terrain builders, and prototypers who need large scale prints without multi-day print times.
No. Its formulation prioritises throughput and cure speed over microscale surface resolution. For detail-critical work, Phrozen Aqua or Hyperfine resins are the appropriate alternative on the same printer.
Large format models up to 24cm can complete within six hours, compared with eight to twelve hours or more with a standard resin, making same-day design iterations practical.
The 20% elongation at break provides enough flexibility to resist the cracking and fracture that purely rigid resins produce when large parts are flexed during handling, assembly, or fitting for wearables.
Speed Gray is the original large format high speed resin, prioritising throughput on big prints. Speed Plus is a newer formulation optimised for high speed monochrome LCD printers with a stronger mechanical profile and finer detail retention.
Keep it sealed at room temperature in a dark, dry, ventilated space away from direct sunlight. Wear gloves and a mask when handling it, and wash any skin or eye contact with plenty of water.
Unopened bottles can be returned, though you'll cover the return shipping if it's a change of mind. Any defective bottle is covered by a free return and refund.
Yes. 3D Cast is Phrozen's official Australian distributor, so you're getting genuine Speed Gray with local warranty and support, not a grey import.
