Description

Phrozen High Temp TR250LV 3D Printer Resin: Heat Resistant Engineering Resin

Phrozen High Temp TR250LV is a heat resistant MSLA engineering resin with a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 120°C at 0.45 MPa, formulated for functional components, tooling, and moulds that must maintain their geometry when exposed to elevated temperatures. Standard photopolymer resins typically begin to soften between 45°C and 60°C under load; TR250LV extends that threshold to 120°C, which opens a class of applications that standard resins cannot serve.

The primary applications for TR250LV are thermoforming and vacuum forming tools, where the mould surface is in direct contact with heated thermoplastic sheet and must hold its shape through repeated forming cycles. Jigs and fixtures used in assembly processes that involve heat guns, soldering, or proximity to heat sources also benefit from this thermal stability. The resin is used in dental workflows for the fabrication of trays and other instruments that are sterilised or exposed to elevated temperatures in clinical environments.

TR250LV is formulated with low viscosity to support accurate layer cure and fine detail reproduction, which is critical for mould surfaces where any surface artefact transfers directly to the formed part. The neutral colour makes surface inspection straightforward and provides a clean background for dimensional measurement.

Recommended layer height is 30 to 100 µm on all MSLA and DLP resin printers. Tensile strength is approximately 55 MPa and tensile modulus approximately 2,800 MPa, positioning TR250LV as a moderately stiff engineering resin with the thermal performance its classification describes.
