Description

Monocure3D TENSILE Black 3D Printer Resin: High Strength Engineering Resin

Monocure3D TENSILE Black is a urethane-epoxy hybrid engineering MSLA resin sharing the same high tensile strength formulation as TENSILE Shark Grey, in a deep black finish that suits functional components, industrial prototypes, and end-use parts where colour matters for the application or the aesthetic of the final piece.

The black pigment offers specific practical advantages for engineering applications. Dimensional measurement and surface inspection on black parts requires directional lighting, which experienced engineers typically work with regardless; the absence of surface reflectivity on a matte black surface improves edge detection and feature visibility under raking light compared to lighter colours. Black components also absorb UV light during outdoor or high UV exposure applications, which is relevant for parts used in environments with significant solar exposure where photodegradation of lighter resins can be a concern.

TENSILE Black delivers the same urethane-epoxy mechanical profile as the Shark Grey variant: high tensile strength, a tough surface, and a mechanical response that more closely resembles injection moulded engineering plastic than standard acrylate photopolymers. It is compatible with the Monocure3D CustomMix system and suitable for MSLA and DLP printers at layer heights from 30 to 200 µm.

  • Resin type: Urethane-epoxy hybrid MSLA photopolymer
  • Colour: Black
  • Volume: 1 kg
  • Recommended layer height: 30–200 µm
  • CustomMix compatible: Yes
  • Compatible printers: All MSLA and DLP resin printers
