Phrozen Water Washable Tough White is an MSLA photopolymer resin that combines the water washable cleanup convenience with an improved mechanical profile suited to functional parts and prototypes that need to withstand handling and light stress. Where Water Washable Model Gray prioritises detail and surface quality for display applications, Water Washable Tough is engineered for the additional impact resistance and toughness that functional parts require.
The water washable chemistry removes the IPA wash requirement from the post processing workflow: uncured resin washes away under tap water, simplifying cleanup in home studios, educational settings, and shared workspaces. The Tough formulation adds mechanical resilience to that convenience, making it suitable for enclosures, brackets, tools, and components that will be handled or subjected to minor load in use.
The white colour provides a neutral, clean finish that is well-suited to presentation models, consumer product prototypes, dental models, and educational pieces where a bright, professional surface is required directly off the plate. White also provides an excellent painting base for colour accuracy without requiring colour neutralisation under light paint layers.
Mechanical toughness in a water washable resin is a genuine engineering achievement. Standard water washable resins are more brittle than their solvent washable equivalents due to the chemistry changes required to achieve water solubility in uncured form. Phrozen Water Washable Tough addresses this by formulating for higher impact resistance and elongation at break than standard water washable resins, closing the gap between convenience and performance.

I’ve tested plenty of resins in the past, but Resione Tough74 v2 is on a completely different level. The material properties are incredible - it’s the perfect balance of rigidity and toughness. I’m using it for articulated garage resin kits, and the results are flawless. If you are tired of brittle prints and want something that actually feels like a manufactured product, this is it!
I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.
