The TH-BJD formulation addresses the specific mechanical and surface requirements of articulated figure printing that standard high resolution resins are not designed to meet.
The pink cream pigment is the defining practical feature of this resin for its intended audience. Ball-jointed doll face-up work — the detailed painting of facial features including eyes, lips, brow definition, and skin texture — is traditionally done over a warm skin-toned base. Starting from a pink cream resin means the underlying resin colour contributes warmth and skin tone to the face-up even before paint is applied, reducing the number of layers required to achieve a natural complexion and improving the final result on thin paint applications where the base colour shows through.
TH-BJD combines fine detail reproduction with the mechanical properties that articulated figures require. The formulation provides sufficient flexibility at thin cross sections to reduce the brittleness that causes standard resins to crack at joint flanges and thin limb sections under posing stress.
