Monocure3D Pro+ Ultra Clear 3D Printer Resin: Clear Urethane-Based MSLA Resin for Engineers and Designers
Monocure3D Pro+ Ultra Clear is a urethane-based MSLA photopolymer resin formulated for engineers, product designers, architects, and hobbyists who require genuine optical transparency in printed parts. It produces high light transmission with minimal internal haze across solid cross-sections, which distinguishes it from standard clear resins that appear transparent in thin walls but cloud noticeably in thicker geometry. Applications include optical lenses, light diffusers, display prototypes with visible internal features, clear architectural models, jewellery masters, and decorative pieces where transparency must be maintained over time.
Urethane chemistry gives Pro+ Ultra Clear a mechanical profile well above standard clear photopolymer resins. Tensile strength of 68 MPa, Shore D hardness of 96, and flexural stress of 329 MPa produce rigid, impact-resistant parts that can be handled and displayed rather than stored behind glass. Young's modulus of 0.95 GPa reflects the resin's stiffness under load. Heat deflection temperature of 81°C at 0.45 MPa provides useful thermal resistance for parts placed under display lighting or used in warm environments. Elongation at break of 3.8% confirms this is a rigid resin, not a semi-flexible one.
Non-yellowing formulation is the defining long-term property for clear resin applications. Standard photopolymer resins yellow progressively under UV exposure after printing, which defeats the purpose of a clear part over any extended period. Pro+ Ultra Clear is formulated to resist yellowing, making it appropriate for display models, architectural mock-ups, and prototypes that will be used or shown across months rather than days. Post-curing at 405nm for 30 minutes achieves the published mechanical properties and maximum clarity. Over-curing reduces transparency, so the 30-minute guideline should not be extended without testing.
Pro+ Ultra Clear is fully compatible with the Monocure3D CustomMix system, allowing colour tinters and special-effect additives to be blended in for tinted transparent applications while maintaining the base resin's optical and mechanical profile. It is platinum-cured silicone compatible, meaning it does not inhibit platinum catalyst curing in silicone moulding workflows. This makes it a functional choice for producing positive tools and masters for silicone casting, an application where most photopolymer resins cause mould failure. Compatible with all MSLA and DLP resin printers. Wash with ResinAway or IPA. Shelf life 36 months stored in a cool, dark, dry location.
