Monocure3D Thermo High Heat Dental Model Resin: 120°C Heat-Resistant MSLA Resin for Thermoforming
Monocure3D Thermo High Heat Dental Model Resin is a high-temperature MSLA dental resin for Australian clinics and laboratories producing aligner moulds, occlusal splint templates, mouthguard moulds, and custom trays where resistance to thermoforming heat and pressure is the primary material requirement. It has a heat deflection temperature of approximately 120°C at 0.45 MPa, giving it a substantial thermal margin above standard thermoforming process temperatures.
Where standard dental model resins may soften or deform under the combination of heat and pressure applied during vacuum and pressure forming, the Thermo resin holds its geometry through the full forming cycle. That thermal stability is what determines whether the aligner, retainer, or mouthguard produced from the model fits as designed. A mould that deforms during forming produces an appliance with compounded dimensional error that cannot be corrected in post-processing.
The resin prints in opaque grey with a smooth matte surface. The smooth matte surface maximises contact between the thermoforming sheet and the model during forming, and the easy-release formula assists clean mould removal without surface adhesion after the forming cycle. Shrinkage is below 1%, maintaining dimensional accuracy through printing, post-curing, and the forming process itself. Viscosity of approximately 600 cps at 25°C ensures smooth layer curing and consistent detail across the full build plate.
THERMO is optimised for 405nm MSLA printers with a curing range of 225 to 420nm and a typical layer exposure of 2.5 to 3.0 seconds. The low-odour formula is suited to laboratory and clinical environments. Always validate exposure settings for your specific printer with a test print before full production runs.

I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up.
