Phrozen Air Purifier Max: Source Level Exhaust Filtration for FDM and Resin 3D Printing

The Phrozen Air Purifier Max is an exhaust mounted air purification unit for FDM and resin 3D printers. Rather than filtering air after it has already spread into the room, it connects to a printer's exhaust port using the two included vent hoses and pulls dust, smoke and resin odour straight from the print chamber through six stages of filtration before releasing clean air.

It suits home workshops and small studios running higher volume or continuous prints, where fumes and fine dust are a bigger concern than a single small job. On Phrozen printers it connects directly to the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K, Sonic Mighty Revo 14K, Sonic Mega 8K S and Sonic Mega 8K V2. Arco FDM printers fitted with a PentaShield enclosure connect via a printed adapter. Other Phrozen models, including the Sonic Mighty 12K and Sonic Mini 8K S, connect using the separate 3D Printer Enclosure Mega accessory. It complements rather than replaces the Phrozen Air Purifier 2 Piece Set already in the 3D Cast range: the USB unit targets resin odour close to the print, while the Air Purifier Max handles higher volumes of dust, smoke and fumes straight from the chamber.

It is not limited to Phrozen machines. The magnetic exhaust connector also fits a number of other manufacturers' printers directly, including the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra, Mars 4 Max, Mars 4 DLP, Saturn 4 Series, Saturn 3 Series, Saturn 2, Saturn 8K and Jupiter SE, and the Bambu Lab H2D. Printers with a different exhaust port size can use a 3D printed adapter for a secure fit.

Filtration runs through a top G4 pre filter, a HEPA composite stage (G4 filter x 2, HEPA H12 filter x 2) and an activated carbon stage, rated up to 99.95% purification efficiency. Three fan modes cover different print types: power mode runs at 240m³/h for high emission prints such as ABS, Nylon or laser engraving, balanced mode runs at 100m³/h for everyday printing, and quiet mode runs at 60m³/h and 42dB for overnight jobs. Filters slide out for a tool free swap in around a second, with a built in indicator light for when a filter needs changing.
