Monocure3D PROTO Black is an Australian-made general purpose resin formulated for MSLA monochrome LCD printers with a deep, solid black finish. It is designed for makers, prototypers, and hobbyists who need a reliable everyday resin that delivers a finished black appearance straight off the build plate without requiring painting or additional colour treatment.
The deep black tone eliminates the painting step entirely for models where black is the intended final colour, which saves significant post processing time for regular users producing black finished prototypes, mechanical models, props, or decorative pieces. The finish also provides high contrast for surface detail inspection during quality review.
Layer curing times of 2 to 3 seconds on monochrome LCD printers deliver consistent layer adhesion, stable curing behaviour, and reliable mechanical properties across different model sizes and geometries. Low odour formulation makes it practical for home and studio environments. PROTO Black is fully compatible with the Monocure CustomMix system. Available in 1 kg bottles.

I’ve tested plenty of resins in the past, but Resione Tough74 v2 is on a completely different level. The material properties are incredible - it’s the perfect balance of rigidity and toughness. I’m using it for articulated garage resin kits, and the results are flawless. If you are tired of brittle prints and want something that actually feels like a manufactured product, this is it!
I have used the Phrozen 8K resin before, so I know how good a product it is. Delivery was fast. Sadly, whoever delivered it left it in the foyer of my apartment building without even buzzing me. Nothing to do with 3D cast but I hate to think what would have happened if a kid had got their hands on it.

I switched to this because isopropyl was stinking up the house from the garage. This has a nice lemon smell, cleans well, doesn't make my eyes burn from the fumes and didn't get cloudy after the first use. It did kick up the VOC readings the same as isopropyl, but didn't linger the entire day when I used my air purifier. Great stuff, will buy more.

Great business to deal with. Recently after a full days work, I placed an order. 3D Cast was on the ball, as the resin I ordered was different to my previous orders, as it turned out I pushed the wrong button, this was my bugger up. But, rather than just send it, they contacted me and asked if this was right and I was able to correct it.
Great customer service, if they had not done this, I would of had resin I would not use.
