Description

Phrozen ONYX Rigid Pro410 3D Printer Resin: High Stiffness Engineering Resin

Phrozen ONYX Rigid Pro410 is a high stiffness engineering MSLA resin formulated for functional prototypes, structural components, and end-use parts where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are the primary requirements. The Pro410 designation refers to its tensile modulus rating, placing it in the stiff engineering resin category alongside injection moulded ABS and polystyrene in terms of part rigidity.

The black pigment is the standard colour choice for engineering and industrial components for a practical reason: it eliminates surface reflectivity that can interfere with layer cure precision on high resolution printers, and the neutral dark tone makes dimensional measurement and surface inspection straightforward without surface glare. Parts produced in ONYX Pro410 have a finished appearance that suits functional deployment without painting or coating.

ONYX Rigid Pro410 is designed for applications where standard photopolymer resins would flex or deform under load. Enclosures, brackets, jigs, fixture plates, and mechanical housings all benefit from a resin that holds its geometry under static and dynamic load rather than yielding at stress concentrations. The resin also offers improved heat resistance relative to standard resins, making it more suitable for components exposed to moderately elevated temperatures during use.

The formulation produces fine surface detail and clean layer definition, which means threaded features, snap fit interfaces, and dimensional reference surfaces print with the accuracy that functional parts require. Recommended layer height is 30 to 100 µm on any MSLA or DLP printer, with best results on 8K and higher resolution machines.

Tensile strength sits at approximately 65 MPa, tensile modulus at approximately 4,100 MPa, and elongation at break at under 5%, placing this firmly in the rigid engineering resin class. Shore D hardness is approximately 85.

3D Cast is Australia's official Phrozen distributor, stocking genuine ONYX Rigid Pro410 resin with fast shipping Australia wide and direct technical support.
