Description

Phrozen Tough 100E 3D Printer Resin: High Toughness Engineering Resin

Phrozen Tough 100E is a high toughness engineering MSLA resin formulated for functional parts that must absorb impact and resist fracture under stress rather than simply resist deformation. The 100E designation describes its elongation at break characteristic, the value that determines how much a cured resin part can stretch or deform before failure. Standard photopolymer resins typically fracture at 1 to 3% elongation; Tough 100E is engineered for significantly higher elongation, which translates to parts that bend and survive rather than snap.

This toughness profile makes Tough 100E the appropriate choice for living hinges, snap fit assemblies, flexible tabs, protective covers, and any component where the design intent requires the part to deflect under load and return, or to absorb an impact without fracturing. Engineers and product designers use this resin class for consumer product prototyping where drop testing and handling simulation require the print to behave like a production polymer rather than a brittle resin surrogate.

Tough 100E cures to a smooth surface with fine detail retention, which means functional prototypes look and feel representative of the intended end-use part. The resin is compatible with all MSLA and DLP resin printers, with a recommended layer height of 30 to 100 µm. At $135 per kilogram, it sits at the premium end of the Phrozen engineering resin range, reflecting its specialist toughness formulation.

The green pigment in Tough 100E provides clear visual identification on a build plate mixed with other resin types, and the saturated colour makes support attachment points and surface artefacts easy to identify during post processing inspection.

3D Cast is Australia's official Phrozen distributor, stocking genuine Tough 100E resin with fast shipping Australia wide and direct technical support.
