Phrozen Wash & Cure Kit: Resin 3D Print Post-Processing Station
The Phrozen Wash & Cure Kit is a combined washing and curing station for resin 3D prints, integrating an 8-litre vortex wash tank and a 405 nm UV curing chamber into a single post-processing workflow. It is designed for hobbyists, miniature painters, engineers, and dental professionals who want a dedicated, consistent post-processing setup rather than improvised IPA containers and improvised UV sources.
The wash tank uses a high-speed propeller to generate a vortex in the cleaning solution that circulates around the model, removing uncured resin from surfaces and internal cavities without the mechanical abrasion that brushing introduces. The vortex action is effective on intricate geometry where brush cleaning is impractical — fine miniature detail, lattice structures, dental models, and overhanging surfaces all benefit from circulation-based washing. The adjustable timer gives control over wash duration for different resin types and model geometries.
The curing chamber delivers 360° UV coverage through a rotating turntable that ensures all surfaces of the model receive equal light exposure. Uneven curing — which occurs when models are cured under a single-direction UV source or in sunlight — produces mechanical property variation across the part: fully cured surfaces alongside under-cured regions that remain tacky or weak. The 360° rotating curing approach addresses this. The chamber accommodates models up to Ø25 x 23.5 cm and includes a fan-assisted drying mode that removes cleaning solvent from the model surface before UV curing begins, which prevents solvent residue from interfering with the cure.
Three operating modes are available: dry only, cure only, and dry then cure sequentially. The sequential mode is the standard workflow for resin prints going directly from the wash tank to the curing chamber.

Phrozen Wash and Cure Kit: Frequently Asked Questions
The wash tank is compatible with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and purpose-made resin cleaning solutions such as Monocure3D Resinaway. Resinaway is a safer alternative to IPA with lower flammability and longer working life before replacement. We stock Monocure3D Resinaway at 3D Cast.
Wash time depends on the resin type and the complexity of the model geometry. Most standard resins on simple models require 3 to 5 minutes. Models with deep internal cavities, fine detail, or complex lattice structures may require longer. The 0 to 30 minute timer allows you to tune the cycle for your specific workflow.
Residual cleaning solvent on the model surface during UV exposure can inhibit full surface cure, leaving a tacky layer. The fan-assisted drying mode removes solvent before UV starts, which produces a cleaner surface cure. The dry then cure sequential mode is the recommended workflow for prints going directly from wash to cure.
The curing chamber accommodates models up to Ø25 x 23.5 cm. This covers standard desktop resin printer build volumes including the Phrozen Sonic Mini 8KS, Sonic Mighty 12K, and Sonic Mighty Revo 16K. For large format printers like the Mega 8K series, the Mega Cure S is the appropriate curing station.
Yes. Over-curing causes brittleness in many resin formulations, reducing impact resistance and making thin sections more prone to snapping. The recommended approach is to follow the resin manufacturer's cure time guidelines and start conservatively. The 0 to 2 hour timer allows precise control. Most standard hobby resins require 2 to 6 minutes of UV exposure for adequate surface cure.
Used IPA or Resinaway containing dissolved uncured resin should not be poured down the drain. The recommended disposal method is to expose the used solution to sunlight or UV light until the suspended resin cures and settles, then filter out the solid resin, and dispose of the clean solvent according to your local chemical disposal guidelines. Contact your local council for disposal advice.
The Wash and Cure Kit is suited for standard desktop resin printer build volumes. The wash tank accommodates models up to 21.8 x 12.3 x 23.5 cm and the curing chamber accommodates models up to Ø25 x 23.5 cm, covering the Phrozen Sonic Mini 8KS, Sonic Mighty 12K, Sonic Mighty Revo 16K, and Sonic Mighty Revo 14K. For Mega series printers, the Wash Mega S and Mega Cure S are the appropriate post-processing stations.
